Both White Carrara and Calacatta date back to the 17th century where it was used in Ancient Rome for famous buildings and sculptures that we still see today.

Calacatta can be used in residential as well as commercial projects. Its appeal consists of dramatic taupe veins complemented by a soft white backdrop. It is popularly used for kitchen countertops, bathrooms, and even as accent wall pieces.
White Carrara stone is often used for major commercial projects because of its price difference as compared to Calacatta. It is a popular choice for vanities, walls and floors. White Carrara has a grayer and softer veining while sharing the signature Carrara Italian white color as the Calacatta.
